After more than a year without any events focused on craft beer in Miami, Doral Brewery is returning to its annual festival with lots of celebrations.
This month, Irie Jungle from Tripping Animals returns – and bigger than ever before. In addition to more than 50 guest breweries, the festival will be presented with a series of pre-event releases and guest takeovers.
“Our third annual craft beer festival returns with threefold revenge to make up for last year’s unforeseen and unexpected cancellations,” says Tripping Animals co-founder Ignacio Montenegro. “The idea was to make this a great festival that would welcome everyone.”
The festival will welcome dozens of participating breweries on Saturday, April 24. The list includes names from outside the country such as Alvarado Street Brewery, Aslin Beer Company, Bearded Iris Brewing, Burial Beer Co., Burley Oak Brewing Co. and Evil Twin NYC. Other guests include Forager Brewery, Imprint Beer, Mortalis Brewing Co., Other Half Brewing Co., Resident Culture Brewing Co., Eighth State Brewery Co., Toppling Goliath Brewing Co. and Vitamin Sea Brewing Co.
“This year, we also invited our local friends, because this is a kind of gathering,” Montenegro explains. “We have so many friends from the industry with whom we have worked in the past and with whom we have worked. This is a celebration of those connections. “
For the past six months, a team from Tripping Animals has been working to ensure that Irie Jungle 2021 will be the curator for the post-pandemic environment. To ensure safety, the brewery will follow CDC event guidelines. Masks are required as you move through the space, and disinfection stations will be available in multiple locations.
Two levels of admission and two time-limited sessions will allow for sufficient social distance, Montenegro says. Limited to 200 people per session, each will run for three hours, starting at noon to 3pm, and again from 5pm to 8pm. , Frate Kitchen, Asquerosito Street Food and LuchaDough.
Each $ 75 general ticket holder will receive a five-ounce glass that can be used for unlimited amounts of liquids, and food will be available for purchase. The VIP entrance, priced at $ 250, will offer one-hour early access with unlimited refills, refilled VIPs only, a glass of Irie Jungle, a one-meal card and a set of five stakes in a Tripping Animals barrel in half-liter bottles.
In the days leading up to the event, Tripping Animals will host a range of canned drops, including out-of-state breweries and local breweries.
On Saturday, April 17, the preparatory party for the Irie Jungle brewery starts from 8 pm to midnight with a special tapping of Vortex Of Darkness, the imperial statue of bourbon barrels with hazelnuts, coconut and cocoa feathers and music by DJ Masst.

“Irie Jungle is everything because she feels great, gathers and smokes,” says Montenegro. “It’s more than ever now for the craft beer world, because of the pandemic. There was no travel, no personal collaboration, no festival, no gathering to share beer. Now we can finally celebrate Irie Jungle in the right way and introduce some new breweries to Dorala and Miami. “
